Roby Sport acquista il cotone in fiocco nei vari paesi produttori nel mondo tra cui Russia, Sudan, Mali, a seconda delle proposte di mercato e alle qualità e quantità necessarie e disponibili.
Ad ogni arrivo vengono verificate accuratamente qualità e purezza di ogni lotto. Il prodotto viene quindi sottoposto a tintura con colori reattivi quando ancora è in fiocco, questo per migliorare l'assorbimento del colore e per ottenere un'uniformità assoluta dello stesso.
I colori reattivi si mantengono fissi e quindi non stingono e resistono ottimamente ai lavaggi del prodotto finito.
Il cotone viene quindi avviato nelle "celle" che trattano il fiocco insieme al poliestere, anch'esso già tinto in fiocco e quindi mescolati in percentuali di 80 cotone e 20 poliestere, in modo da poter ottenere una mescola che garantisca stabilità al restringimento e una migliore durata nel tempo.

Quality and pureness of each batch are verified accurately upon their arrival.
The product, then, undergoes a dye with reagent colours when it is still a staple, this is done in order to improve the absorption of the colour and to obtain its absolute evenness.
The reagent colours are fixed, therefore they do not fade and resist extremely well to the washes of the finished product.
The cotton is then sent to the "cells" which treat the staple together with the polyester, which has also been dyed in a staple form, and then mixed at a ratio of 80% cotton:20% polyester, so as to yield a mix which ensures shrinkage resistance and better durability.
